For example, if a participant shared a link to a poll to another of their email accounts they could vote more than once. How could I prevent this happening?

Great question! Even if a participant shares a link to a poll with another of their email accounts, their browser will remember that they had already voted. If they open the link in the same browser, it will not let them vote again, even if they change their address.
The best way to prevent participants from voting multiple times would be to secure your event using privacy features. Using restricted access, you could select email addresses that are allowed to join your event and vote in polls. This will not let unauthorized email addresses into the event. If your organization uses an SSO such as Okta, you could also enable this so that participants have to log in via SSO before they can access the event. Please note that these features are available in the paid plans.
I hope this helps :) Let me know if you have further questions.
