Public events are visible in Slido’s search results and can be accessed by typing in the event code. Anyone can access this event at any time.

How do you protect the data in my event?
We encrypt our services using SSL, in transit and at rest as well.
What kind of data do you collect?
We collect data related to the content of your event, information about your Slido plan and price, personal information such as your name, email and billing address. Furthermore, voice, if you reached out to us via phone, technical data collected automatically like browser version, IP address, or OS version. We do not collect information about your credit card. It is collected directly by the payment gateway.
How long do you store the collected data?
We store your data until you decide to delete the specific data or the whole account. If you wish to do so, please check out this article.
Does Slido guarantee the confidentiality of my data?
Yes, we guarantee the confidentiality of your account and your data as well. However, if you use the “BASIC” version of Slido, all data collected are considered public and can be displayed on our site and freely shared with other parties. In case you care about privacy, we strongly recommend using our privacy settings available in paid versions of Slido.
Does Slido share my data with third parties?
Slido does not sell, trade or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties in any manner that could be harmful, dangerous or violating your privacy. We share personal information with companies, organizations, and individuals outside of Slido only under one of these three circumstances: when you give us your consent, when it is used for external processing or when it is required due to legal reasons.
Do you collect IP addresses of the participants? Can you share IP addresses with us if we request you to do so?
Yes, we collect IP addresses and we won’t be able to share the IP addresses with you even if you request us to do so - we are committed to maintaining the privacy of participants, for instance, we guarantee that an anonymous question stays anonymous.
Will something change with the planned acquisition of Slido by Cisco?
Nothing is changing regarding our approach to privacy with the expected acquisition of Slido by Cisco. Slido takes privacy very seriously and the acquisition does not change this. During the transition, we will respect all data processing addendums and contracts with our customers as well as applicable law (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and where necessary, additional measures will be in place.
