I’m exploring Slido as a potential option for a client that needs to embed live, quick polls on their website for extended periods of time. However, it appears that event can only last one week, which would require the site administrators to continually update the event dates and/or update the embedded code on their site. This doesn’t seem like a practical solution. Any ideas or workarounds?
Hello,I am managing Slido for a large conference. I would like to set up events with multiple rooms for our different sessions and invite guests to create polls, manage the questions, etc. I see how to do that for the event as a whole, but I don’t see a way to restrict the guests to a particular room. Is that possible? If not, do you have a recommendation for how I can ensure that different guests are not accidentally setting up polls, etc for rooms not associated with their sessions? Do I have to create separate events for each one? Thanks,Lori
We are doing a large quiz. People enter their own names at the beginning. The issue is that how do we contact the person who wins without someone else with the same name contacting us and taking the prize. For example - Peter wins Quiz #1We do the quiz on Zoom. We say to Peter please email your contact details to email@example.com so we can send you your prize.Another Peter hears this and sends an email to Bob. How do we know which is the real Peter?
With the new Slido dark mode, is there a way of forcing this on users, rather than it just being a user selectable preference? We need to embed a slido on a dark background page on a website, and it looks really good in dark mode, but rubbish in the generic slido colours.
A community member ask about this a while back (see below). I’m wondering if this feature has been added? I upgraded to the paid version because it looked like that was possible in surveys. I’m disappointed that I can’t figure out how to do this. Fingers crossed! Thank you! Is there a way to have multiple ratings under one question? For example, the question could be “What rating do you give team 1?” and there would be 3 ratings of “relevance to brief”, “presentation” and “wow factor”. Is there a way to have these all show on one page instead of creating a survey where each rating is on a new page?
Hi, I would like to use slido polling as a voting of the winner in my coming events, this voting is suppose to vote for the country that have best practice and performance other than your own country, so I’m wondering is there a way that I can avoid the participants to vote for their own country??
I installed “Slido for Windows 0.17.1.1417.2102171556.msi” for Office 365 Pro Plus, and the Slido green button does appear in the Home bar. When I installed the same Slido version for Office 365 Enterprise, the Slido green button does not appear in the Home bar. Got the error message below:Location: mscoree.dllLoad Behavior: Not loaded. A runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM Add-in. Please advise on how to fix the issue above. Thanks!
I’ve integrated Slido with Powerpoint and set up some polls, including word clouds, ratings and open text. However, when I start the presentation, I reach the Slido poll and while the sidebar shows the results, the corresponding slide simply has “Start the Presenting to Display the Poll Results on this Slide”, and does not display any of the answers.I’ve tried starting the presentation with Slido, with f5 and with Powerpoint’s “Start from Beginning” button and none of them have shown the results on the slide. What am I missing?
This post is for myself and my boss. We recently installed Slido on our mac laptops using Chrome and Google Drive. Ever since we did that, our Esc key no longer works so when we’re in a Google slide presentation (Google Chrome/Mac), and we need to escape it, we can’t. The only workaround is to rightclick and choose reload. What’s up with the Esc key no longer working? Additionally, my boss reported that she can no longer use the laser pointer when sharing her Google slides in Zoom. This has worked all along until Slido was installed. Boss tried to uninstall Slido but it keeps re-appearing. Help!
Is there a way to associated the sum of a poll selection with a total dollar amount when showing the results? Context: we are using slido to allow customers to vote on a charity to contribute to and would like to display total amount donated on the results page. 1 vote = $5
Hi. I have been testing the polls for my upcoming events and afterwards I have reset the results. However, I can still see how many participants have participated in the testing under active/joined participant. Can I somehow delete these numbers? Because I can see that these numbers is part of the of the overall analytics and therefore effecting the “real” statistics from my polls.
As students like to cheat, they use several email accounts to vote. To avoid this, I need to invite them via email to restrict their vote to just one. However, it seems that I have to add them one by one. Is there a way to bulk upload?
