As May brings a season of change and renewal across the globe, we’re introducing updates that reflect the same spirit of growth and improvement. This month we brought back Announcements, an option to reuse your previous polls, enhancing Q&A with a search function and making our new interface available to everyone. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new. 🖼️ New Slido interface is now available for everyone On May 27 we officially welcomed the new Slido interface for all our users. The updated interface is simpler, sleeker and more intuitive, so you can focus on what really matters—engaging with your audience. We hope you’re already enjoying the fresh, modern design and finding it easier to navigate. Before making the switch, we reintroduced a few key features to ensure familiar functionality in the new interface. 📢 New Announcements Share important updates or messages with your participants in real time, now with improved functionality—whether it’s a quick reminder, a schedule adjustment or an event highlight. You can prepare up to five announcements, make them live at the same time and reorder them using drag-and-drop to keep participants informed throughout your meeting or event. Announcements are displayed to participants in both the Polls and Q&A tabs. Announcements in Host mode and Participant mode ♻️ My previous polls We know how handy it can be to revisit your past work, so we’ve added My Polls to Poll Templates. Located under its own tab, it includes a search bar so you can quickly find the polls you need. Easily review and reuse polls you’ve created before, saving time and effort as you get ready for your next meeting. It’s a simple way to build on your existing content and keep your audience engaged with minimal setup. Reusing polls from My polls library 🎮 Hide results option on the Survey interaction card When creating a survey, results are hidden by default. You can un-hide them, lock the voting or activate the survey using the quick action menu on the Survey interaction card. Controls on Survey interaction card 🔍 Search and new header in Q&A Looking for a faster way to find questions during a live session? We’ve added a search function to Q&A, helping you get to specific questions using keywords. On top of that, we’ve also refreshed the Q&A header to give it a cleaner look. Searching by keyword in Q&A ☰ Filtering Q&A in Present mode by label To stay organized and address specific topics in real time, you can now filter Q&A in Present mode by label. Simply add a label using the Filter menu in Host mode and click the present icon to apply it to Present mode. Filtering Q&A using a specific label 🗓️ Setting up the maximum duration of created slidos We’ve introduced a new organization-level setting to support your compliance and data retention policies. This feature allows you to set a maximum duration for all slidos within your organization’s license, ensuring alignment with your company’s requirements. To adjust the setting, go to Organization Settings, select Privacy and enter the desired number of days. The default is 365 days, but you can set it as low as 1 day. Adjusting maximum duration of slidos This setting applies to all newly created and duplicated slidos in Slido Host mode and integrations, including PowerPoint, Google Slides, Webex and others. 🧩 PowerPoint integration updates The latest update to Slido for PowerPoint on macOS v1.9.0 brings key improvements and bug fixes and we recommend it for all users. We’ve fixed an issue where multiple poll icons would appear on Slido slides, improved the installation process for cases requiring an administrator account and introduced a new format for poll icons to enhance collaboration. The updated poll icons format and bug fix will also be included in Slido for Windows v1.17, which we’ll release at the beginning of June. That's all for our May updates! Slido Question Ai in PowerPoint and Google Slides integrations Who can use AI features? Whether you're on a Basic plan or have a paid license, you can start using AI features immediately. The only exception are Enterprise customers, where AI features are off by default, but Admins have the option to enable them. Enable or disable AI features Organizations often need to comply with complex privacy and security regulations. Therefore, Owners and Admins of paid annual plans, including Enterprise, can choose which AI features they want to turn on for their entire Slido organization.
