Slido is gradually rolling out a new user interface. If the below steps and visuals match what you are seeing within your account, then you are using the new interface and this article is for you. If not, please see this version.

If you want to make sure that your Q&A stays free of irrelevant or unreasonably negative questions, Slido offers features that can help.

Q&A Moderation

Available in Professional and higher plans

Moderation allows you to review questions before they appear live for everybody to see. If you receive an inappropriate or irrelevant question, you can simply dismiss it. See our Moderation guide to learn more.

Profanity filter

This feature filters out submissions which include inappropriate words and is enabled for all slidos. Filtering happens automatically in the background so there is never any action required from the presenter.

The Profanity filter currently only supports word cloud and Q&A submissions, and is restricted to the English language.

Deleting submitted questions

You can also delete any submitted questions at any time.

  1. Hover over the question you wish to delete
  2. Click the three-dot menu and select Delete
  3. Select Delete once more to confirm

Can Slido help trace who submitted an inappropriate question?

While we do collect IP addresses, we are unable to share them. This is because we are committed to maintaining the privacy of participants and because we guarantee that an anonymous question stays anonymous. With that said, we are always happy to comply with requests from law enforcement authorities if ever such information is needed to help with investigating unlawful activity.
