Slido offers a great and simple way to engage your remote audience during meetings, events, webinars or classes. Follow the steps in this article to learn how to give a voice to your online audience.

Share your screen and display Slido
To begin, launch your video conference app (such as Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams or Google Meet) and start sharing your screen.
Afterwards, open Present mode by selecting Present in the bottom right or your slido. This will display Slido for your remote audience during the meeting or event.
Have the audience join your slido
Once your remote audience can see Slido, they can use their devices to join at slido.com using your slido code.
Alternatively, you can share the joining link with your remote audience beforehand - clicking on it will take your participants straight to your slido. The joining link can be found under the Share button in the top right of your slido.
All slidos also have a QR code available by default. You can download it and share it with your audience, or print it on any event materials.
Both the slido code and QR code are visible when you present your slido. So participants can join at any time.
Manage your slido
Once everyone’s joined your slido, you’re ready to start your remote session! How you manage Slido now will depend on whether or not you’re using a presentation with your remote meeting or session.
Running a remote session without a presentation
If you’re not using any presentation during your session, your setup is essentially already complete. Once you present your slido, the control panel lets you manage Slido directly.
Then you have the option of activating or deactivating a poll, progressing to another one, or switching to Q&A. You can also display or hide poll results. And when you switch to Q&A, you can highlight or archive questions directly.
Pro tip: Manage Slido from another device
You can easily use a secondary device (such as your smartphone) to manage your slido. This is especially useful if you wish to moderate your Q&A session. With your smartphone, you’ll be able to see incoming questions and approve or dismiss them.

Running a remote session with a presentation
If you’re using slides during your session, there are a couple of ways to switch between your presentation and Slido.
- Integrate Slido with your Google Slides or PowerPoint presentation
Slido integrates with both Google Slides and PowerPoint. This allows you to insert specific polling and Q&A slides directly into your presentation. And as you present, polling and Q&A activate automatically for your audience.
- Use your trackpad or keyboard
If you’re using a Mac, you can easily switch between your presentation and Slido Present mode by swiping three fingers on your trackpad, either to the left or right. Or for Windows, you can use the Alt+Tab keyboard shortcut to quickly switch between your presentation and Slido.
