HiOur team is designing a new powerpoint training presentation, that will be used in virtual classrooms over MS teams. We are incorporating slido for the first time, so its a steep learning curve!We have worked out that the presentation can be reused, great, but how can we use the presentation at the same time, by two trainers ,running two different sessions? Can you advise please?Also, In total there are six trainers who will be using the presentation ,but no more than two at one time. Are there any other factors we should consider? Our company has a professional package if that helps.
We want to run a weekly poll to check in with our team members. The poll would be presented to the team in a Teams channel. In order for them to see the poll more easily, we would like to embed in as a new conversation. We are concerned that if it is hidden away on the tab they won’t remember to look for it.These polls would not be part of a meeting, but rather a Friday afternoon message in Teams. Is it possible to make it part of the conversation?
I know that you can change the language for a specific Slido, and that my webex meeting attendees see everything in the selected Language. Yet I can’t find a way to change the language in Webex itself, and some of my colleagues would prefer to use the app in German when they’re hosting Slido. So my question is, can you change the language for the Slido App itself IN Webex? And if yes then where? thanks in advance Patrik
I've been able to successfully add slido to a scheduled meeting if I set it up as a standalone meeting that is not part of a team or channel. However, if I schedule a meeting in the channel and try to add slido by reopening the meeting in my Teams Calendar there is no + button for me to add in the app. Any idea as to why I can only do it one way?
Hey,I added a description to my poll and it works insofar as that the users see the description on their devices but it is not displayed on the powerpoint-slide. How do I get it to be displayed on the slide as well? Seems like a simple problem but I cannot find a button to change it and it is driving me crazy. Thanks in advanceMaren
I’ve created a Power Point deck and included three slido slides. I click on the “Present with Slido” button to view the deck as if I was presenting it.The problem...the slido slide font is too big and does not fit in my screen. Is there a way for me to adjust the size of the Slido slide so all contents fit in my screen?
Dear all,I tested using the Microsoft Teams integration. Whilst this worked perfectly with my colleague who had not set up any events himself, I ran into issues with my other colleague. He had set up Slido events himself in the past.I launched the event during the teams call and he was prompted to log into his Slido account. When he did so, he did not see my question, instead he saw all the events he had set up in the past. Is there anything I can do to avoid this? Thanks,Karen
I’ve integrated Slido with Powerpoint and set up some polls, including word clouds, ratings and open text. However, when I start the presentation, I reach the Slido poll and while the sidebar shows the results, the corresponding slide simply has “Start the Presenting to Display the Poll Results on this Slide”, and does not display any of the answers.I’ve tried starting the presentation with Slido, with f5 and with Powerpoint’s “Start from Beginning” button and none of them have shown the results on the slide.What am I missing?
For smoother transition between Powerpoint slides and Slido questions, I have found that it is best to set the Transition on your Slido slides, to none rather than fade or anything else. Otherwise you will see the Slido placeholder first before Slido loads the question webpage because that operation does not occur until the powerpoint transition is complete.
When I used Slido with Google Slides previously I thought there was an option to show a pill-shaped icon in the corner of Google Slides with the event code so that people know how to ask questions throughout the meeting. I can’t seem to get that to come up or find a setting for that any more. Is that still a thing?
Hello all,I am hoping you can all help. When I deliver a presentation using the Slido PowerPoint integration app, the placehold slide flashes/blinks between the slide tranistion. My transition setting are set to none.Is there a solution or settings I am missing?
We’re using polls in Webex Webinars with appropriate questions to generate sales leads.As we would like to switch from native Webex polling to the much more interactive Slido polling we must ensure that we can evaluate Names and E-Mail-Addresses of the participants.For Q&A this is possible but for most of the polling variants the attendee ist able to switch to anonymous votes.Additionally there are differences in native Slido Events via the web site (standard: nonanonymous) and the Webex Integration (anonymous).Is ist possible to disable anonymous pollings or are there plans to make this available? I created a quiz in the slido website. I need to test drive it before the class, so I opened a TEAMS Chat window with a colleague. TEAMS already has the Slido app, and I can see it in the top of our chat window, but no way to share the quiz for them to test it. I watched the tutorials, sorry they are too general for me to figure out what the actual steps are to do this. The class is in two weeks and will be hosted in TEAMS. Feels like it would be easier to use Powerpoint in Teams and not Slido.
The Slido green button does not appear in the Home bar for me. I’ve downloaded Slido for Powerpoint three times and installed (and uninstalled, and reinstalled) it three times. I’ve restarted PowerPoint every time. I’m running Microsoft Office Home and Student 2016 (PowerPoint Version 2010, Build 13328.20356). I’d really like to use this tool, but how do I get it to integrate with PowerPoint?
How can we suppress the autoupdate on the client? We use MS SCCM for the app deployment. When closing the app or PowerPoint it tries to make an update. Can this be suppressed, as the users have no right to install apps on their clients.?Thanks.
