If you’re new to using Slido in Webex, understanding the Slido competencies for different Webex roles in meetings and webinars might be useful.

In this article:

To make sure you can use Slido in Webex, read the essential requirements and current limitations first.

Slido standalone roles overview

There are four roles in Slido:

Owner
A person who registered for an account in standalone Slido or a person who enables and configures Slido in Webex Control Hub.

Admin
A member of a paid Slido/Webex license (purchased by the owner) with multiple users/members, and advanced competencies similar to an owner.

User

A member of a paid license with multiple users/members.

Collaborator

A person added to a single Slido to help out with managing polls and Q&A.

By default, external collaborators (from outside of your Slido/Webex license) are disabled in your Slido/Webex organization. You can enable external guests in your Slido account settings.

Here’s a brief overview of Slido roles:

  • Owner and admins can assign roles to other members of the license
  • Owners, admins, and users can create and manage their own Slidos
  • Users can’t see other members’ Slidos
  • Collaborators can help manage polls and Q&A
  • Collaborators can be assigned only to single Slido at the time
  • External collaborators don’t have access to Slido settings
